About the role:
D365 Support Resource to provide comprehensive support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O). This role will focus on system maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting, security role administration, and upgrade support, ensuring system stability and optimal performance. While not a development-heavy role, the candidate should have the technical expertise to sustain and troubleshoot existing configurations, integrations, and backend functionality.
What You’ll Do:
System Support s Maintenance
Provide comprehensive technical support for D365 FsO, including troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and resolving system-related issues.
Maintain and configure D365 system settings, workflows, and business logic to align with organizational needs.
Serve as Tier Two/Tier Three escalation support, working with internal teams and Microsoft support as needed.
Monitor and support D365 integrations with other enterprise systems.
Ensure system documentation for configurations, changes, and issue resolutions are maintained.
Security Role Administrations User Access Management
Manage and maintain security roles, permissions, and user access controls.
Review and troubleshoot user access issues, ensuring compliance with role-based security policies.
Support periodic access audits and segregation of duties (SoD) reviews to maintain security best practices.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and enforce strategies for role-based access control (RBAC).
Configuration s Technical Support
Support the configuration, integrations, and maintenance of D365 modules, ensuring optimal system performance.
Assist in testing and validating new configurations, workflows, and system updates.
Perform data analysis and system adjustments as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Work with business users to optimize D365 workflows and automation within existing capabilities.
Assist in planning, testing, and validating D365 system upgrades and patches to ensure business continuity.
Support system refreshes, including data migration and validation.
Work closely with Microsoft Lifecycle Services (LCS) and Azure DevOps to coordinate updates and system health monitoring.
Ensure upgrade and patching strategies are aligned with business objectives and minimal disruption to users.
Support troubleshooting and resolution of financial module-related issues in collaboration with key business stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of D365 security models, user roles, and access control administration.
Experience with Data Management Framework (DMF), system integrations, and performance monitoring.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot D365 configurations, workflows, and security settings.
Familiarity with Lifecycle Services (LCS), Azure DevOps, and system update processes.
Experience with SQL, SSRS reporting, and database troubleshooting within D365.
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
7-10 years of experience in D365 Finance & Operations technical support, configuration, and system maintenance.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with business users, IT teams, and external vendors. Experience in supporting Accounting, AP, AR, and GL modules within D365.
Strong understanding of D365 configuration, security roles, system updates, and technical issue resolution, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for end users while supporting system refreshes, patches, and upgrades.
Troubleshooting skills in L2/L3 support, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
Experience with X++, SQL, SSRS, and API integrations.
Familiarity with data migration, custom reports, and automation (Power Automate, RPA).
We'd be super excited if you have:
Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) for workflow automation.
Understanding of ERP security best practices, including segregation of duties (SoD) and role management.
Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (preferred).
